Hello again!!
I just finished e-mailing the DevTools1.LHA archive to Mr G.
I had planned on including two utilities, the SampleTrimmer and
the AutoImageGrabber, but as there was a "bug" in the Sample
Trimmer after compilation (most likely I didn't Open a screen and I
always compile without the Screen open option) and I also know
several people are interested in this ImageGrabber, I decided to
just go ahead and archive the AIG by itself...
I might submit the other development-tools sometime next week,
but I'll probably be too busy with other projects, so who knows!!
PLEASE, if you download the AIG and try it out, let me know how
it works for you and what you think of it. I've tried to add as many
checks as possible to prevent any crashes and you should receive
plenty of feedback telling you exactly what happened (and what is
happening) when you select a menu-option.
One thing I really would like to know is... can everyone see the
MessageWindow at the bottom of the screen. You should be able
to view two lines of text down there, if you can't PLEASE let me
know and also tell me if you're in PAL or NTSC mode.
So remember, don't just download it and never say a word. I've
spent two days on this utility and it works fine so far in all of my
tests (except for one letter in the message-box not be clearing
at a certain point), but I can't guarantee it's perfect.
I've tried to maximize the speed of the AIG and am quite satisfied
with it's performance overall, although the Auto-Centering takes a
bit longer than I'd like it to. How fast does it process on YOUR
system?
One final note: All of the options are explained under the 'About...'
Menu-Option. READ the text there and you should be all set.
Just remember the AIG scans from top to bottom, right to left, so
your images will be picked up in that order...
Take care,
GARFIELD
